Chapters 5 and 6

Heroism  :P!

For chapters 5 and 6 I decided to chose the word heroism. I chose this word because of the different events in these chapters.  Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally were the ones whom demonstrated heroism by the deeds they commited. Ponyboy and Johnny showed complete selflessnes by going into the burning church trying to save the little children that were trapped inside. Dally showed heroism by trying to save Johnny and Ponyboy after they realized that they were in trouble. They knew that they were putting themselves in danger by doing what they did. So I definitely feel that heroism is shown in these chapters and that it is definetly the best word, or at least in my opinion.

Hi,

I agree with your opinion and think that this post is well written. What are some predictions that you might have from the story? What has been your favourite part in the book?

Hello…
It seems a lot of people have chosen this word. Well it would make sense right?

Do you think you would have done it if it was you that saw the kids burning in the church?

In my opinion…I don’t really think that Dally was a hero though. He acted very selfish and only stepped up when it was the people he knew.

This blog is similar to my blog. I also thought that heroism described the chapters. (i think everyone did…hehe.)

Well. very nice blog. i like the way you carefully chose the words to describe the relevance between heroism and the characters.

:D
