Desire and Need

Is having everything you desire a good thing?                                                            Having everything you desire, in my opinion, isn’t necessarily a good thing and neither is it in this story, The Veldt. An example would be let’s say a rich man. The rich man may have money and luxurios things, but that doesn’t mean he’s happy. Many other peoplle may try to kill you in order to get all the things that you possess. You also may end up feeling that you don’t have to do good or work for things because you already have all that you desire.                                                                                                                                Desire and need?                                                                                                                   Now, desire and need are two very different things yet they are so alike. Desire is somethin that you want, but don’t necessarily need, or can live without. And need is something that you can not live without. An example for desire would be having a mansion wiith five cars. Sure it would be nice to have, but it’s not a neccessity. Now on the other hand things like food and water are neccesssities or needs. And obviously needs are much more important.
