Power and Relationships

Power is a key instrument or part of any and all relationships. Whether it be a relationship between a teacher and student, or just between friends, it is there.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     How is power shown in relationships?                                                                                                                                                                                Power is shown in relationships in many different ways. The power can be shown when you see whom in the relationship has the upper hand or is in charge.   An example would be a worker and his boss. They have a relationship in which the boss is in charge, and the worker must do what he says. Another way would be in how both of those in the relationship need and depend on each other. In the example of the boss and worker, the worker needs the boss for a job in order to get money and the boss needs the worker to get the job done.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          How can power change relationships between people?                                                                                                                                                             Power can be a good and bad thing all depending on what you do and how you act.  It can change relationships between people for better or worse. You could strengthen or completely obliterate  your relationship. It can make people change which will in turn change your relationship, and you just may not have that same connection with that person the way you used to.                                                                                                                                                      How can it change people?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Well, you would be surprised how much it really can. When you don’t have it you always think that, that could never happen to you, but then it actually happens. You start to think differently and  you feel differently. Sometimes you start to think that you are better than others or that you don’t want to associate with others that are “inferior” to you or at least that’s what you think. This does not always happen, but for a lot of people it has a tendency to.

Biography!

Hey! My name is Jhosselinne. I am currently in the 8th grade here at my school. I’ve been here at my school since pre-school. And this year I am going to graduate from junior high, which I am looking forward to. I am Hispanic/Latino. I was born in Washington D.C. (our country’s capital) in the month of August, and moved to California when I was only one year old. Everyone else from my family however were born in Guatemala. I have a family of six. I have two older twin brother’s and one older sister. I am the youngest child in my family. All of my siblings are now attending a university. One thing that I really enjoy is listening to music. I am usually open to what kind of music, with some exceptions. I also love playing basketball from time to time with family or friends, even though I may not be that great at it. And even though you probably won’t believe me, I do actually enjoy reading, but it depends which book of course. I am very energetic and always laughing about. That’s just my personality. At first though I may be extremely shy, but once you get to know me you can see that, that changes. Trust me, I know how to have fun, but I also know when it’s time to get down to work ( at least most of the time)! I plan to become a veterinarian when I am older because I love interacting with all kinds of animals. Well, hopefully we’ll have fun doing this and it turns out to be successful! Well……. bye!
